Dinner Groups
Small dinner groups have long been a tradition at Union Cong and are one of the best ways to get to know other members of the congregation. Generally groups are comprised of 8-10 adults and meet every 4-6 weeks in group member’s homes. The host provides an entrée while other members bring side dishes and dessert. The host house changes each time based on the group’s decisions. The purpose of these dinners is to socialize, and conversation flows as at any social gathering!
Groups are formed in the fall and stay together through June, give or take. (Some groups have never stopped meeting!) Several kinds of groups are available:
Adult dinner group — 8-10 adults
Family dinner group — 8-10 adults and their children
Restaurant Hop — adult group which meets monthly at local area restaurants
Contact Dick Olson (any time of the year) if you’re interested in being placed in a group. Groups are always ready to welcome you to their next dinner.
