Youth Groups

We see the Christian formation of youth at Union in many different ways. The Youth Ministry program seeks varied opportunities to nurture the youth in ways that connect to our daily living. Our activities may include youth-designed worship activities, retreats into the wilderness, service projects, social dinner and a movie night, the ever-popular lock-in, an international mission trip, or the weekly Sunday morning Learning Center. We also branch out into the community with our Friday Side Door program, an after-school drop-in center for middle school youth in Montclair.

Gregg Deehan Jr. is the Acting Minister for Christian Formation and Youth.

We are grateful to the many adult lay leaders who help run the youth ministry at Union. We rely on their leadership as youth advisors, confirmation mentors, learning center teachers, and retreat chaperones. Senior High youth leaders participate in the Youth Council (AKA The God Squad), which shapes the direction of our high school activities.
