We are a partner
for Habitat Humanity – Newark, helping building
decent homes for God’s people in need. We have funded homes
around the world as well as shared in the cost of those closer to
home. We enjoy workdays together and with our sister church, First
Cong.

We participate in the Interfaith Hospitality Network,
which houses the temporarily homeless. Union hosts homeless families
along with other Essex County Congregations that open their doors
to create a suitable living atmosphere for families for a week at
a time. Three times a year, our educational building becomes home
to up to four families who sleep, eat, do homework and feel safe
here. Best of all, we become friends!
Volunteers are urgently needed to assist for during the week providing
food, staying overnight, or assisting in activities. If you would
like to help, contact the church office, sign up in the assembly
room, or contact one of the coordinators below.
