Welcome

Hunger

Christine’s Soup Kitchen at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in West Orange is where you can find lots of Union folk on four Saturdays a year. We cook at home or Union and serve for as many as 120 people – and we enjoy their company!

Watch the website for the next scheduled date to help at Christine's soup Kitchen.

Locally, we support the Human Needs Food Pantry and help to keep their shelves stocked via seasonal food offerings. We also contribute to the Salvation Army’s important work with both the hungry and the homeless.

Last year's Thanksgiving food drive collected were: boxed pie crust (no refrigeration), cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie fillings, stuffing mix, jello, canned vegetables any non—perishable items.

10—14lb Frozen turkeys were collected at the Human Needs Pantry Nov 20, 21, 22 from 9:00—12:00 located at 9 Label St, Montclair (across from the Motor Vehicle).

Our soup kettles clink with change on Souper Bowl Sunday. And we remember the needs of others every time we say grace!

We walk for the hungry in October (CROP Walk). CROP Walk happens yearly to raise money and awareness for hunger in Montclair and around the world. Anyone in the congregation is welcome to walk with us or to support an individual who was walking.

Walkers meet at First Congregational Church at 2:00 and walked together!

Leah Fowler was this year's coordinator.
