CONGREGATIONAL READ “HOW WE LEARN TO BE BRAVE” BY BISHOP MARIANN BUDDE

In challenging times, how do we gather the courage necessary to live the gospel’s message of love, grace, and compassion? With her sermon to the new administration, Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde gave us an example in how to be prophetic to the power structures of our time. Join Minister Of Visitation And Pastoral Care, Marie Bacchiocchi, on Zoom Tuesday evenings, March 11 until April 15, as we read “How We Learn To Be Brave.”

It looks like the book was not available earlier in the year and has recently started a reprint. Bishop Budde’s book is currently available on Audible and Kindle, with hardcover books currently in stock at independent bookstores:
Watchung Booksellers in Montclair (a couple of copies),
The Collective Bookstore in Verona (one copy, please call),
[words] Bookstore in Maplewood (a few copies),
Barnes And Noble in Clifton or online (a few copies),
and Amazon.

Many other local independent bookstores also said they could order the book if you have a favorite independent bookstore you would like to support. If purchasing the book is cost-prohibitive for you to join us, please speak to Rev. Katrina or let someone in the church office know, and we will get you a copy of the book. The Zoom link for the discussion will be posted on the front page of the church website, in emails out to the congregation, and in the online calendar listing.
