UCC Players present a staged reading of the new musical “From The Abuelas’ Window” in the Assembly Room The UCC Players are collaborating with book writer and lyricist Nancy Burke and composer/musical director Ignazio Valdivia on a new musical! “From The Abuelas’ Window” is a musical with a message to encourage ordinary people to do small things to make their world a better place, particularly when confronted with political oppression and human rights violations. The musical is an adaptation of the young adult novel, which aimed to bring understanding of the reasons people are forced to leave their homeland and emigrate to the United States.

January 16-18. 2026 At Trinity Retreat Center
This year’s Women’s Retreat theme is “Ancient Tools For Modern Times.” In a time of great collective tumult, we will turn together towards the tools of our faith and scriptures to find hope. We will be reminded that we aren’t the first generation to feel hopeless or afraid, or experience personal suffering. Lament, prophetic truth-telling, and singing together are sacred tools passed down to us. We will engage personally, in small groups, and as a large group over the weekend to find hope and strengthen our faith.
Tuesdays at 4pm
Join the Archives small group – we meet Tuesday afternoons from 4pm to 5pm in the Archives Room on the 2nd floor of the Vincent Building. We are in the midst of a multi-year project organizing Union’s documents, photographs, pictures, and more – all the while sharing conversation, laughter and fun, interesting, and often inspirational facts and lessons from those who came before us.
Wednesdays at 10:30am
Come build community through 45 minutes of chair yoga. Seated in a chair, we will move gently, mindfully, stretching, and finding our alignment both internally and externally. Breath is emphasized as is a smile. Modifications are always provided and we move at a pace that is appropriate for all levels and all ages.
Twice a month in the Guild Room, usually the first and third Wednesday at noon.
Sages is a group of older members and friends that meet twice a month for a brown bag lunch and informal discussion of questions and issues that are relevant in that stage of their lives. The purpose of the group is to build community and support by providing a forum for discussion and gathering as a community.
