Overview Of Minister For Pastoral Care And Faith Formation
The Minister for Pastoral Care and Faith Formation is called to serve Union Congregational Church of Montclair in all areas of congregational life – teaching and leading the congregation in faith, and caring for the congregation and staff. As a Called Minister of Union Congregational Church, it is expected that the Minister for Pastoral Care and Faith Formation is an ordained Minister in the United Church of Christ in good standing or is an ordained Minister in another tradition and has been granted Privilege of Call by the New Jersey Association of the Central Atlantic Conference of the United Church of Christ. The terms and conditions of the Call are outlined in the Call Agreement between the Minister and Union Congregational Church.
Reporting
The Minister for Pastoral Care and Faith Formation is called by the congregation and collaborates with the lay leadership and Governing Board to further the ongoing mission as guided by the congregation. They will report to the Lead Minister and work collaboratively to define areas of primary and shared responsibilities. Created with significant input from the congregation and in concert with our lead minister, this position will have considerable autonomy within defined areas of responsibility. The ideal candidate will be creative, responsive, and collaborative.
