About The Childcare Room: The Childcare Room is a special place for children four and younger. The childcare staff is very welcoming to both children and parents. The Childcare Room is designed for children four and under with age-appropriate toys. We ask that you leave your cell number with the staff in the event that you are needed to return to the room for your child's comfort. 

Childcare Room Details:

• All Sunday staff are trained in our Trust With Care Policy.

• Staffed with two of the following each Sunday from 9:30am-11:30am: Claudio Caputo, Sofia Perez, or a trained volunteer from the congregation.

• For children ages four and under.

• The Childcare Room is located in the main church building (Tower Building), on the first floor of the East Wing.

• Childcare is frequently available at church events. Look for prior notice with event details.

Learning Center For Children Starting At 5 Years Of Age

About The Learning Center: The Learning Center is a one-room "schoolhouse" for children from kindergarten through fifth grade. It is in operation during the program year which runs from September through June. 

We are committed to raising the next generation of Christians by providing a strong sense of church community, a love of all people, and a desire to bring about Jesus' call for justice for all people. We want class to be a place that children look forward to coming to. We welcome those churched and unchurched, all who are seeking and doubting, the curious. The curriculum that is used for the basic framework of each class meeting is called A Joyful Path. Learning Center Details:

• All Sunday staff are trained in our Trust With Care Policy.

• Staffed by Molly Rosenak, Anthony Pineros and Patty Dow. 

• All students begin worship in the sanctuary at 10am with their families.

• Following the Chanel Steps Children's Talk during the worship service, students will go to class with Learning Center staff (around 10:15am).

• Class is held in the main church building East Wing (upstairs) in the Blue Room.

• Learning Center classes conclude at about 11am when the worship service ends.

• Students will be returned to the Assembly Room to find their parents.

About The Summer:
All Sunday staff are trained in our Trust With Care Policy. During the summer months, all children through rising fourth graders attend the Childcare Room. It is staffed with two of our trained adults. A variety of activities appropriate to the ages of all children attending are provided.

About Baptism:
Baptism is offered for all ages, preceded by conversations with parents for those under 13. It is the celebration of the gift of life and inclusion in the Christian community. Therefore, those desiring it for themselves or their children are expected to be members of our congregation or another for which we serve in the event of family connections.

Our ministers baptize by sprinkling water from the baptismal font. When we baptize infants and small children, we emphasize that God's love comes before any conscious response on our part. The congregation offers its understanding and support to the child and promises to join the parents in showing God's love for all. When adults are baptized, we emphasize that faith also requires a response of commitment on the part of those who choose to be followers of Christ.
