From chair yoga leader Sara T.:
Why chair exercises are helpful for seniors or individuals with mobility issues?
- It reduces the risk of falling.
- It is a great way for seniors or individuals with limited mobility to get the health benefits of exercising.
- Chair exercises can be just as challenging as regular standing workouts, especially for upperbody or abdominal muscles.
-
Another advantage is that exercising while sitting takes less effort than standing and puts less presuure on lower body joints like knees or ankles.

Danish Breakfast And Wreath Raising
From a congregational member: "Torben did pray in Danish. Some people were surprised to discover that danishes were not part of a Danish breakfast. The various herring preparations (curry, red wine, mustard, etc.) were delicious with the five grain bread Torben baked himself. The crepes, supposedly invented by the Danes, were also delicious. We had to stop to add tables and chairs as more men came. Then we broke up in teams to build the wreath, then raise it, do the decorations, and some men instead went to Christine's Kitchen."
